After nearly a year of waiting since I last played the short demo on the floor of E3 for Jade Empire, Bioware's first original game has been released. I must say that even though I've only played the first chapter (of I believe 8), I am so far thoroughly impressed. Jade Empire runs on an improved Knights of the Old Republic engine, which is very nice for a few different reasons. Number 1: the game looks amazing. You really have to see the game in motion to see just how good it does look. There's some great lighting effects in…

Look what happened to my Project Gotham Racing 2 disc. Richie is a very sad panda. Oh well, I guess I'll have to go buy another copy. God forbid I'd have to go without my beloved Gotham. And, in more good news, EA BIG has scored another exclusive deal in the sports arena, this time with college football. Football fans, it looks like your last vestige of hope for a decent football game has disappeared into the fold that is Electronic Arts. Faguckershit.
Top Spin tennis was great. I need to say that before I move on. But, we need more tennis games. Virtua Tennis on the Dreamcast was also good, and Break and I put in a lot of hours in that. In the current gen, there have only been two good tennis games. If executed with good gameplay, tennis can be an extremely fun sport to play on a console. Playing Top Spin on X-Box live was great, and I loved beating people, especially since it used real tennis strategy. I hope that the successor to Top Spin is at least…

Yes, OurColony is growing…If you have any interest whatsoever in ARGs (alternate reality games), then I strongly suggest that you check this one out. So far it's been plagued with some server instability, especially after they got a mention on the news section over at gamespot. However, it seems that the site is back up and running smoothly now, so here's hoping it stays that way.Anyways, I've also been playing lots of Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat, and I really have to say, that it's a great game. It's a blast to play, and it's really easy just to sit down,…
Here's another ARG for you to hate on.It can be found over at ourcolony.net. It's…different. Unlike ilovebees, this one is a little more interactive, with an entirely different structure. I could ramble on trying to explain how it works, so I'll just suggest that you head over there yourself and see how it works. Teamwork is, apparantly, the key to getting anywhere in the game. Jack is already knee-deep in it, and has joined one of the larger colonies, the ARGolonists. Want to join up? Use password: 96292816.By the way, 24 ownz.
I was searching through an old hard drive today, and I found something that's kind of cool. Four years ago this week we started shooting prelim footage of a duel that I had written. This little clip is from that prelim. Not great quality of fx or video (it was prelim,) but I thought it was interesting giving the time. Enjoy. (I'm the one with the double blade in case it's hard for you to tell.) Download Quicktime File.
Something happened thanks to the greatness of Netflix over the last week. I've become addicted to the amazing Fox series, 24. When I first heard about the series, believe me, I was incredibly skeptical, and I still was all the way up until I saw the first episode of season 1 on dvd last week. How wrong I was to be quick to judge with the series, without even seeing an episode. Now I know some people might hate the show, and some people out there also love it. Richie and I are both loving it right now, and we can't…
Was anyone surprised by the latest Show? I know some of you were expecting us to fuck Sony up the ass with a hot rebar, but we didn't go down that well beaten path. As I promised, there were far more kind words than flames, mostly from me, despite being the apparent Sony hater that I am. Really, you're only asking for anger and frustration if you take our Show as seriously as some of you do. We do the Show to have fun, and if you're not having fun listening, then please don't listen. But anyway, I'd now like to…
So, everyone knows how big a Star Wars fanboy I am… and today Kitsune, Weezerjedi, and I ventured to Kansas City to meet Boba Fett and Chewbecca from Star Wars. I really don't know what else to say except that they were really nice, and I am excited. Click read more to see the pictures.
Doom 3 finally gets released on Xbox this monday. After all of the waiting and the promising, it finally comes out. Thankfully, thanks to our expanded ninja budget after their success with the PSP, I've managed to get a hold of a copy of the game already. Now I know PC fanboys are going to swear up and down that the Xbox version can't even come close to running Doom 3 as well as a PC. Well, they're half-right. Obviously, the game can't look nearly as good as it does on a high-end PC. However, I really have to give Vicarious…
Here's that RPG Squeenix was talking about. I for one am uber excited. For those of you too lazy to click, it's called Code Age Commanders. Lame name I know, but czech out the story. This planet, see, relies on this floating object called the Central Code for all life and sustenance, much like we rely on the sun. Every 10,000 years this Central Code reboots, causing all the world to go extinct till it comes back online. Y'all live in a time where the reboot is coming quite soon, and you're trying to stop it. Back when I played…
Square Enix is about to announce something. That something, believe it or not, has to do with an RPG. Yeah, an RPG, can you fucking believe that? Now, I'm sorry Squeenix fans, but I really think they could have done without creating hype, about an announcement, which will just create more hype anyway. And besides, creating hype can be a bad thing. Remember last year, when Sega said it had a big announcement to make at E3? And it turned out to be nothing more than The Matrix Online? Yeah, I'm sure there was more than one Sega fan that was,…
Ah yes. A new Splinter Cell, a new way to bring the art of spine-twisting to some of your closest terrorist pals. I could probably rant and rave about the hours I've poured into this game already (and I just might), but I think I'll just stick to a little basic bit of info on this great sequel.Well, the single-player mode, is just as awesome as the first two games, and even a little bit moreso, especially the thrid level…let's just say Sam Fisher and Danny Ocean have a lot in common. That was probably my favorite level of the game so…
But even the hosts need to take a break once in awhile. I don't know about the rest of you, but I was kinda looking forward to a slugfest with the PSP fans. Just save your anger and whatnot till next Sunday, when we can have a proper flame war. In other news, the much anticipated Chaos Theory is now available. Jack, being the Splinter Cell fan that he is, can't get enough of it. It looks as good and plays as well as the E3 demo video had us hoping it would. What's especially cool is Co-Op mode, where you're…
No Show Sunday because some of the staff has plans for Easter which require them to not be here. Gamers is in post-production and should be done fairly soon.
You have to play Lumines.Nothing can really describe just how awesome, or synaesthetic the game really is. Tetsuya Mizuguchi really outdid himself again with Lumines. It attacks the senses and feeds on them as you're playing. I can't say enough good things about it…it's just amazing. If you have a PSP, or even if you don't have a PSP, you need to at least try out Lumines, you'd be doing yourself a disservice as a gamer otherwise.I could go into deeper detail on it, but I'd more than likely completely lose everyone as I do it, so I'll save you…
One more reason to get Gran Turismo 4.#1 #2 #3And before you ask, no, you cannot buy the Flux Capacitor, OR Mr. Fusion. Whatever rumors you heard about hidden games appearing after 88 MPH are complete and total bullshit.Ok, now to address the PSP fans. I'm sure you're all taking great pleasure in having your holy portable in one hand, and giving the Show hosts a big fat birdie with the other. Yes, I'm sure the battery life is good, and the square button doesn't bind. I know, because I've played one myself. And I've actually got good things to say about…
Our BreakmanX.com ninjas have finally come through for us. The rest of the BMX team and myself have been pretty adamant about our disdain for the PSP for quite sometime, and you guys know it. Hell, I'll be the first one to admit that I thought the idea of a Sony handheld was the worst idea ever. Well, I still don't like the idea of where it might be headed, but goddamn, the PSP is a sexy beast. Our ninjas managed to infiltrate Sony HQ and get us an American PSP a few days before launch date. And, let me just…
Yep, more GT4 pictures. Because I fucking can. First, I'll show the magnificent Ford GT40. And for any haters out there, just remember: This car was banned from the Le Mans international race, for being too damn good. #1 #2Initial D fans will recognize the Sileighty. #1 #2Lotus Elise = Rolling sex. #1 #2 #3I'll also briefly show the Caterham Seven Fire Blade. It may look like a jazzed-up go-kart, but it goes round Tsukuba faster than any other car mentioned here. #1 #2Now, for more important things. If it weren't for Kansas and it's inability to make up it's damn mind about the weather,…

So I just got Neverwinter Nights, and I'm having a blast with it. Keep in mind, I did have it when it first came out, simply because of the hype surrounding it, and the fact that everyone was saying, "If you liked Diablo, you'll love this," sounded like a ringing endorsement in my ears. However, as soon as I started seeing the words "penalty", "dice roll", and "D & D", I almost immediately had a change of heart. I believe I put a full 30 minutes into actually playing the game until I got completely frustrated, and ended up taking…
So I'm gonna post some more. My sexy, gunmetal FD RX-7.#1 #2 #3 The crazy, 700 HP beast that is the Shelby Cobra.#1 #2 #3 Now, on to something more relevant. I strongly encourage all of you to stay tuned to the site during this week, as we're about to premier a new video feature. I won't give too many details, I'll leave you guys to do the speculating, but I will say it involves lots of in-game video, GameBreakers style, and will also give you a look at the ugly mugs of the BMX staff, myself included. But, ugly or not, I promise…

For the stalkers out there I fixed <<my blog>>.
I like lists. Here's a list: "Games I want to play but can't cause I'm a poor broke bastard" 1) Devil May Cry 3 2) Star Wars: Republic Commando 3) Brothers in Arms: The Road to Hill 30 4) Gran Turismo 4 5) Fight Night Round 2 6) Tekken 5 7) Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath Okay nevermind, Here's another list: "Games that I won't be able to buy when they come out, cause I'm still a broke bastard" 1) Phantom Dust (for the love of god check this out if you haven't seen it) 2) DK Jungle Beat Okay I can't…
Richie, Weezer, and I just watched the Episode III trailer. I almost had a heart attack. I can't even really speak right now. All I have to say is that you must watch it with a clean pair of pants. "Are you threatening me?" I won't sleep for weeks. Star Wars…is good.
I'm still here in semi-sunny California at the GDC, so I figured that I'd just check in with you guys again because I love you so much. Anyways, I went to Nintendo's CEO, Satoru Iwata's press conference earlier today, where I got to see in-person, the new Zelda trailer. It was pretty cool. Not quite as cool as the one that was released last year at E3, but still pretty cool. Actually showed off a bit of new gameplay mechanics, like Link riding a horse, and also Link picking up cats. Don't really know what that's about, but Iwata promised…
My God is it sexy. Watch it now.
