…I saw a few of the pictures that Major Nelson (head honcho of Xbox Live) had taken while he was working at the Xbox 360 Premiere Event that was taped this past Thursday and then put up on his blog.  That's right, it was taped, it's not being shown live on MTV this coming Thursday at 8:30 PM CST, but whatever.  That's a small nitpick when compared with what is to come.

I managed to rustle up a copy of Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, and I'm kind of conflicted with myself right now.    First off, I will say that I'll keep this spoiler-free.  I really do not want to ruin anything for anyone.  You see, I really, really enjoyed the game.  The game really does take you through most of the action sequences (that I believe are) in the movie, and it does it quite effectively.  The story is pretty basic, because they really try to stay away from spoilers at all costs, and fortunately, they really don't spoil…

Yes, I finally got around to catching The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy last night, and I can honestly say that it could have been much, much worse.  Douglas Adams has a style and humor not easily replicated, much less transferred to a different medium.  That said, the feature film does a good job of conveying said style, or good enough that those not versed in Douglas Adams can still have a laugh or two.Overall, I'd say about 50% of the material is sourced from the original book, while the remaining percentage is thrown in as screenplay adaptation, i.e. the…

The update for Halo 2 occured last week and pretty much fixed everything that I thought was wrong with the multiplayer game, fixed most of the glitches that people were exploiting online, and most of all, managed to make the game fun again.  The increased melee damage, the increased blast radius and damage from grenades, and the increased power of the Battle Rifle and decrease in power and accuracy on anything duel-wielded makes the game really feel like Halo 1, IMHO.Add to all of this that Bungie just released the first 4 new maps for download on Xbox Live, and…

The NFL draft is today.  For the last week I've been watching Mel Kiper, Jr., Chris Berman, and basically every single football analyst that ESPN has covering the NFL Draft, and who they think will be the top 5 picks.  Some think that with the first pick, the San Francisco 49ers will pick the QB from Utah, Alex Smith.  Others seem to think that they might decide to go with Aaron Rodgers from Cal.  And a few others believe that the 49ers might just trade that draft pick away for something else later on, or perhaps a good player now.Do…
