You know what? You've inspired me to keep at it. I'm gonna stop butchering people in "Prototype 2" and dedicate myself to Geralt.
Thanks for the advice. You're a cool dude, hope you stick around on the site.

yeah, its fair enough. The 360 version wouldn't be as good i guess. As for combat, well, if you play your cards right, then fairly early on in the game, you should have very satisfying combat, actually.

get +1 vigor, and a maribor forest potion, and you'll already have 4 vigor. But, at times, it can be more grinding - dodge, dodge, hit, dodge, hit and so on... They should really do something about that. But after some time, most encounters should feel good.

As for 'learn more about endegras' and so on. I actually feel it's pretty good. You know, by killing a handfull of them and exploring, your knowledge of them grows, and so i didn't have to buy the book at all. There is a certain feel that comes from this design, and i personally like it.
as for glitches, and such, don't have that many on PCBut the Witcher 2 still has lots of big big issues. LOTS of things need refining, and some design choices should be done away with. Even then, I'd still give it a 9/10. The number of big issues should be whittling that score down to 7.5 or 8, but whatever said and done, it was still just amazing. I did not want it to end one bit. I just wanted more. The game as a whole was specialI'd advise you to try it out, see what works best, and see how you can play in such a way as to take in the lore, and actually have fun combat. Take time to prepare potions. Things like golden oriole, maribor forest, swallow and so on... Collect any herb you find (too many types i know), and you should be able to make just about anything you have the ingredients for. After some time, you'll find it is very satisfying to go prepared, before venturing out for battle or quests. But the combat still has one problem though. Even if you are very well prepared, you can still die in seconds. I know this is realistic, and gives the combat a more dangerous feel, which is good. But you might just press the wrong button, and get ravaged by 2 or 3 enemies... and this really sucks.
The combat has to be changed by the devs such that, you feel more badass, like in Batman AC, just like you said. I'm on my 2nd or 3rd playthrough, and this time round, it is really much better, because i know how things work, and i know how the devs meant me to play the game. And right now, the game is something special.

Anyway, try it out. I'm not all that sure about the 360 version, but if you keep trying, you might just come to love the experience as a whole. And to all those calling the author a noob and all that - come on guys, don't be idiots, you'll just make him not want to play it even more.
