I liked XII okay, actually, just as a change of pace, but I haven’t really played one through since IX. The brand is diluted terribly, to the point where the only anticipated releases are retoolings of the older games. Somewhere down the road, Square lost sight of where story and FUN are supposed to meet.

I’m with the bandwagon on this one, give me DQ any day.
