He won’t. He’ll most likely move onto “The Silver Linings Playbook”, which he’s wanted to do for awhile. Wahlberg is the star of it. If they don’t do that, they’ll do the sequel to “The Fighter”.

First of all, “Hitman” was not THAT bad a film. The central relationship between 47 and Nika was actually kind of interesting, there was some decent action, and even if Timothy Olyphant was miscast (and he definitely was), he’s still a cool dude and I like his work. I give it a solid B-, which is more than I can say about most game movies.

Secondly, I don’t think David O Russell had his eye on the prize. As Eric noted, he was talking a big game about a story that was nowhere NEAR what “Uncharted” is really about. As a die-hard lover of the series, I’m relieved to see him go.

Also, “The Fighter” sucked. There I said it.

Russell was going to direct the film adaptation of “Pride Prejudice and Zombies” -I wonder if he’s going to jump back on it now that he’s off Uncharted!!!

nooo!! you’ll seriously never know what you’re missing. they’ll just get some shlock director and the studio heads will try to make a movie that cheaply panders to the masses. david o russell is a tits director and has the clout to buck studio wishes and do what he wants. and so what if it would differ from the video game? if you want to watch the video game, then just play the video game.
it would have been a terrific movie. now you’re going to get something like “Hitman”.
