the companies are in this to make $ why would they risk releasing a possibly risky platform when they can still suck money out of the old one also they still would have production costs. its a lot easier to put something on a disc than to build a computer.

343i announced today that halo4 is gunna be on the 360 and it comes out december so it will be a while for a knew xboxs and the fact that it took this long to confirm tells you they were thinking about it but no im 85% sure no new xbox idk about ps4 but they have to do something microsoft is killing them

In reply to Dustin Hall. Yes, but in this case, the timing is the thing in question. Also, I'm sure you remember how many anonymous sources claimed things about the Wii U that turned out to be bogus, like a Blu Ray drive or a controller that functioned as a complete autonomous handheld gaming device.

To be fair, the anonymous source you jab at in your first point was only off by one year. Otherwise, he was correct. 2012, Wii HD, or Wii U as we now know it, and we did see it announced in 2011.

Still, I’m 50/50 on the announcement, and I’m rather in the boat that I hope we don’t see them yet. Gimme another year, and when they DO release, make it something big.

Another reason, Sony said they won’t be announcing the PS4 at e3… so that’s a pretty decent indication :/
