Resident Evil 4 was a masterpiece. Resident Evil 5 was not. I think the fans get angry when the quality goes down. I'm not gonna say RE5 was bad, it did some fun things I enjoyed, but on the whole I think they got suckered too far into the "action" genre.

I want them to go back to the horror.

This article makes me a sad panda. The announced games today looked really cool, and I'll keep an open mind. I think it's quite unfair the judge slant six so soon after just 3 games (all of which from the same SONY BRANDED series mind you).

They never dropped the numbering system either, the latest game is Resident Evil 5. The other non-numbered titles are spin offs and side games, something A LOT of franchises have, and the resident evil ones are pretty damn fun. The on-rails games for the Wii are a blast to play with some friends. Sure, Outbreak and Dead Aim were not as good as they should have been, but were pretty damn ambitious at the time.

I find it funny how everyone was crying for Resident Evil to change back after Code Veronica came out. There were so many complaints on the camera and controls, which made the game scary and suspenseful. Unfortunately fan-bitching turned Resident Evil into what it is today. Fans and critics absolutely loved Resident Evil 4, now all of a sudden un-warranted hate is being thrown at Capcom once again. I'm confused.

Besides, Revelations for the 3DS looks pretty damn scary to me.
