I only got my GBA SP because my friend borrowed my SNES and moved away with it, and at the time it was cheaper than buying another SNES to play DKC, Super Mario World, and Yoshi's Island on. I stared at my SP this morning.......I thought about bringing it with me to work in case of down time, but then I changed my mind.

Also, I'm pretty excited because I finally got tired of waiting for YI to be released on the Wii VC, so I bought a SNES/NES dual console with Mario Kart, Yoshi's Island, and Super Mario World to hook up to my tv in my dining room. I should have a video game party at some point -I have 3 tvs and a PS3, Wii, PS2, GameCube, and SNES/NES.

So, you guys are telling me that portables are for old-man gamers who can't keep up with the times. I seeeee. Iiiinteresting. :p

I tend to agree, I would really like to have a portable when I'm trapped somewhere for a long time, like on an airplane, but generally I never played the ones I've owned. When I'm hope, I play the big system, and when I'm out, I'm doing stuff.

I can see why the Poke-kids got into them, though. They linked up and traded and fought via gameboys in places that big systems couldn't go. So, for them, gaming was a part of the social interaction. I like that idea, but have never had a social setting, like a school, where a bunch of other people had the same system and the same game that would make such a thing worthwhile.
